HydroLuxe Maui 5-Person Hot Tub with Lounger
The HydroLuxe Maui Lounger is a spacious 5-person hot tub designed around a dedicated full-body lounger for comfortable hydrotherapy and relaxation. Measuring 80″ x 80″ x 34″, the Maui Lounger combines multiple upright therapy seats with a full-body lounger and 25 stainless steel hydrotherapy jets for a versatile at-home spa experience.
With factory-configured 115V plug-and-play operation and the ability to convert to 230V, the Maui Lounger gives you the flexibility to choose the electrical setup that best fits your home and how you plan to use your spa.
25 Stainless Steel Jets and Full-Body Lounger
The Maui Lounger features 25 stainless steel hydrotherapy jets positioned throughout its therapy seats and dedicated full-body lounger. The lounger provides a reclined seating position for full-body relaxation, while the additional upright seating gives other bathers comfortable therapy positions throughout the spa.
An adjustable pressure control allows you to customize the massage experience, while the 1.5 HP, 2-speed pump provides the power behind the Maui Lounger’s hydrotherapy system.
115V Plug-and-Play Convenience with 230V Performance Capability
The Maui Lounger comes factory-configured for 115V, 15-amp plug-and-play operation using its factory-installed GFCI power cord and a dedicated, properly grounded outlet. This makes the Maui Lounger a convenient choice for homeowners who want a spacious hot tub with a full-body lounger without initially installing a 230V spa circuit.
For increased heating performance, the Maui Lounger can be permanently field-converted by a licensed electrician to 230V, 50-amp hardwired service with GFCI protection.
In its standard 115V configuration, the Maui Lounger uses an approximately 1.0 kW stainless steel heater. When properly converted to 230V, heater output increases to approximately 4.0 kW. The 230V configuration also allows the spa to be configured for heating while the jet pump is operating on high speed, providing improved heat recovery and temperature maintenance during use.
Important: Never use an extension cord with the spa. Electrical conversion and 230V installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable electrical codes and the manufacturer’s installation instructions.
Factory-Installed Ozone Water Care
The Maui Lounger includes a factory-installed ozone water care system to assist with routine spa water maintenance. The ozone system works as part of your overall water care program while normal sanitizer, water balancing, filtration, and routine maintenance remain important for clean, properly maintained spa water.
Full-Foam Insulation for Energy Efficiency
The Maui Lounger features full-foam insulation to help retain heat and improve energy efficiency. Keeping heat inside the spa reduces unnecessary heat loss and helps the Maui Lounger maintain your selected water temperature between uses.
WeatherWise Premium Black Polyester Spa Cover Included
Every HydroLuxe Maui Lounger includes a WeatherWise premium black polyester spa cover. The premium polyester exterior provides a clean, finished appearance while helping protect the spa when it is not in use.
The WeatherWise cover includes locking safety clips and complements the Maui Lounger’s full-foam insulation by helping reduce heat loss from the water surface between uses.
Waterfall and Multicolor LED Lighting
The Maui Lounger’s hydrotherapy experience is complemented by a cascading waterfall and multicolor programmable underwater LED lighting. Together, these features create a relaxing atmosphere for daytime or evening use.
Durable Rotationally Molded Construction
The Maui Lounger features durable rotationally molded polyethylene construction designed for long-term spa ownership without the maintenance requirements associated with traditional wood cabinetry. Its 80″ x 80″ footprint provides a comfortable balance of upright therapy seating and full-body lounger space while remaining manageable for many patios, backyards, and outdoor living spaces.

HydroLuxe Spas Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about HydroLuxe spa electrical requirements, water care, filter maintenance, included accessories, and installation.
⚡ Electrical & Power
Are HydroLuxe spas plug-and-play?
Some HydroLuxe models come factory-configured for 115V, 15-amp plug-and-play operation. These models use a factory-installed GFCI power cord and must be connected directly to a dedicated, properly grounded outlet. Other HydroLuxe models require dedicated 230V hardwired electrical service.
Always refer to the electrical specifications for your specific HydroLuxe model before installation.
Can a 115V HydroLuxe spa be converted to 230V?
Yes. HydroLuxe models designed for 115V/230V operation can be permanently field-converted to 230V, 50-amp hardwired service with GFCI protection. The conversion and electrical installation should be completed by a licensed electrician according to the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable electrical codes.
What is the benefit of converting a HydroLuxe spa from 115V to 230V?
On convertible HydroLuxe models, the standard 115V configuration uses approximately a 1.0 kW heater. When properly converted to 230V, heater output increases to approximately 4.0 kW.
The 230V configuration also allows the spa to be configured so the heater can operate while the jet pump is running on high speed, providing improved heat recovery and temperature maintenance during use.
Do HydroLuxe 230V spas need to be hardwired?
Yes. 230V HydroLuxe spas require dedicated hardwired electrical service with properly rated GFCI protection. The electrical installation should be completed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable electrical codes and the manufacturer’s installation instructions.
Can I use an extension cord with my HydroLuxe spa?
No. Never use an extension cord with a HydroLuxe spa. Plug-and-play models must be connected directly to the appropriate dedicated grounded outlet, and 230V models must be properly hardwired.
💧 Water Care & Sanitizing
Do HydroLuxe spas include an ozone water care system?
Yes. HydroLuxe spas include a factory-installed ozone water care system to assist with routine spa water maintenance. Ozone works as part of your overall water care program and does not replace proper sanitizer, water balancing, filtration, or routine maintenance.
What chemicals do I need for my HydroLuxe spa?
Proper spa water care requires both water balancers and a sanitizer. These products perform different jobs, and both are important for maintaining properly balanced and sanitized spa water.
Water balancers are used to adjust and maintain proper water chemistry, including pH, total alkalinity, and calcium hardness. Sanitizers are used to control bacteria and keep the spa water properly sanitized.
For HydroLuxe spas, use granulated chlorine or bromine as your sanitizer along with the appropriate water balancing products needed for your source water.
What sanitizer should I use in a HydroLuxe spa?
HydroLuxe recommends using granulated chlorine or bromine to sanitize your spa water. Sanitizer is only one part of proper water care, so you should also test and balance your spa water regularly using the appropriate water balancing products.
Can I use a saltwater system in a HydroLuxe spa?
No. HydroLuxe spas are not compatible with saltwater systems. Saltwater systems can cause corrosion to spa components and may void the spa warranty.
↻ Filters & Maintenance
Does a HydroLuxe spa include a filter?
Yes. A spa filter is included with your HydroLuxe spa. For ongoing maintenance, we recommend keeping extra filters available so you can rotate a clean, dry filter into the spa while used filters are being cleaned and allowed to dry. HydroLuxe replacement filters are sold in convenient 2-packs.
How often should I clean my HydroLuxe spa filter?
HydroLuxe spa filters should be rinsed weekly and thoroughly cleaned monthly as part of regular spa maintenance. To help protect the filter pleats and allow the filter media to dry completely, we recommend rotating your filters rather than immediately returning a wet filter to the spa.
For this reason, our HydroLuxe replacement filters are sold in 2-packs. When a filter is removed for cleaning, a clean, dry filter can be installed while the used filter is rinsed, cleaned, and allowed to dry before its next use.
◆ Cover & Accessories
Does a HydroLuxe spa include a cover?
Yes. HydroLuxe spas include a WeatherWise premium black polyester locking spa cover. The cover helps protect the spa when it is not in use and complements the spa’s full-foam insulation by helping reduce heat loss from the water surface.
Are HydroLuxe spas insulated?
Yes. HydroLuxe spas feature full-foam insulation designed to help retain heat and improve energy efficiency. A properly fitted spa cover further helps reduce heat loss from the water surface when the spa is not in use.
Are spa steps included with a HydroLuxe spa?
No. Spa steps are sold separately. This allows you to select the step style and configuration that works best for your installation.
Are water care chemicals included with a HydroLuxe spa?
No. Water care chemicals are sold separately. You will need both appropriate water balancing products and a sanitizer to properly maintain your spa water. HydroLuxe recommends granulated chlorine or bromine for sanitation.
⌂ Placement & Installation
What type of foundation does a HydroLuxe spa need?
A HydroLuxe spa must be installed on a structurally sound, level surface capable of supporting the filled weight of the spa, water, and occupants. A reinforced concrete pad is an excellent long-term foundation, but other properly prepared foundations may also be suitable.
If you plan to install a spa on an elevated deck or other raised structure, consult a qualified contractor or structural engineer to ensure the structure can safely support the spa.
Can a HydroLuxe spa be installed indoors?
Yes, but indoor installations require careful planning for structural support, ventilation, water-resistant surrounding materials, access, and drainage. The installation location should also provide sufficient access to the spa equipment for future maintenance and service.
Should I hire an electrician to install my HydroLuxe spa?
A licensed electrician should perform any 230V installation or electrical conversion. Electrical work must comply with applicable electrical codes and the manufacturer’s installation requirements. Factory-configured 115V plug-and-play models do not require hardwiring but must be connected to the proper dedicated, grounded electrical outlet.
